Restoration Design operates a full-service manufacturing and metal fabrication facility in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, specializing in the production of replacement sheet metal and restoration components for classic Porsche automobiles.
By combining large-scale stamping equipment with modern CNC machining, laser cutting, forming, welding and CAD design capabilities, we are able to take components from concept and tooling through to finished production €” all under one roof. Our facility supports the manufacturing of our Porsche 356, 911, 912 and 914 restoration parts, as well as custom metal fabrication and manufacturing projects.
Our press department gives us the capacity to manufacture everything from smaller formed components to large automotive body panels and structural assemblies.
Our equipment includes:

These capabilities allow us to perform metal stamping, deep forming, bending and production forming for automotive sheet metal and other fabricated components.
Having this equipment in-house also gives our team greater control over tooling, fit, repeatability and production quality.
Our laser department includes both Mitsubishi 3-axis and Mitsubishi 5-axis laser cutting systems.
The 3-axis laser allows us to precisely cut flat sheet metal and blanks before forming and fabrication.
Our 5-axis laser provides the ability to trim and cut complex three-dimensional formed components after stamping €” an important capability when manufacturing automotive body panels and other complex sheet-metal parts.
Restoration Design operates two 3-axis CNC milling machines supporting our manufacturing and tooling operations.
Our CNC machining capabilities allow us to produce and modify tooling, fixtures, prototypes and components in-house, helping shorten development times and giving our manufacturing team greater control throughout the production process.
Our facility includes a complete fabrication shop capable of supporting individual components, assemblies, prototypes and production work.

Our in-house CAD design capabilities support product development, tooling, fixtures and manufacturing processes. This allows our team to work from original components, measurements and digital designs to develop replacement parts and new products.
From an initial idea to CAD design, tooling, prototyping and production, our goal is to keep as much of the development and manufacturing process in-house as possible.
Our facility has been developed around one particularly demanding application: manufacturing replacement sheet metal for classic automobiles.
Restoration Design manufactures replacement panels and structural components for the Porsche 356, Porsche 911, Porsche 912 and Porsche 914, ranging from individual repair sections to larger stamped panels and complete assemblies.
Working with these vehicles gives our team practical experience in automotive sheet-metal forming, stamping, welding, tooling and dimensional fit.
