About Us

Restoration Design is a Canadian manufacturer specializing in high-quality replacement sheet metal, wiring and restoration components for classic Porsche automobiles.
Our story began in the late 1980s, but a new chapter started in 2009 when the deJonge family acquired Restoration Design after experiencing firsthand how difficult it was to find accurate replacement panels for their own restorations.
That problem became our purpose.
Today, Restoration Design operates from our manufacturing facility in Guelph, Ontario, where we produce an extensive range of components for the Porsche 356, 911, 912 and 914.

Manufacturing is at the heart of Restoration Design.
Our facility brings together modern manufacturing technology, traditional metalworking skills and decades of hands-on restoration experience. From laser cutting and forming to stamping, welding, tooling and final inspection, much of what we sell is produced by our own team.
That gives us control over the process €” and, more importantly, the ability to continually improve our products.
When an original part is no longer available, we work to reproduce it. When an existing replacement doesn't meet our standards, we look for ways to make it better. And when restorers tell us there's something the market needs, we listen.

Restoration Design started by solving a simple problem: making replacement sheet metal that restorers could actually use.
Since then, our capabilities have continued to grow.
Today our product range extends from individual repair sections and structural panels to wiring components, assemblies and increasingly complete solutions for restoring classic Porsche bodies.

From our facility in Guelph, Ontario, Restoration Design supplies enthusiasts, collectors and professional restoration shops throughout North America and around the world.

While our parts travel around the world, our roots are here in Guelph. The same equipment, experience and craftsmanship we use to manufacture restoration parts also allow us to support businesses, builders and individuals in our local community.
